Adjustments bring the portrait closer to the details you told us matter most — the ones that make your pet recognizably theirs. If those details still aren't right after we've adjusted the piece, we'll remake it from the beginning at our cost. If the remade portrait still isn't right, we'll refund you in full rather than ship you something you don't recognize.
If you'd like something different from what you originally asked for — another pose, a different expression, a change of size — write to us. We'll tell you honestly what's possible and what it would cost. That's a new commission rather than an adjustment.

How long does it take?
About 2–4 months from order to your door. We'll confirm your date by email after we check your photos.

What does a finished portrait look like?
Two we've made for our own pets, with close-ups and photos from every side: Stitch's portrait, a German Shepherd made from her puppy photos, and Moji's portrait, an Exotic Shorthair.
What will I hear from you while I wait?
Within 2 business days of your order, we check your photos and email you, either to say we can begin or to ask for more.
Once work begins, we email you your estimated delivery date.
While your portrait is being made, we write about every two weeks to tell you where it stands.
Before it ships, you get photos of the finished piece from every angle to approve. Nothing ships until you do.
When it ships, we email you the tracking number.
What is it made of?
Needle-felted by hand from 100% wool, blended to match your pet's coat. The eyes, nose and mouth are shaped from clay so they hold their shape.

It is made to be looked at, not handled or played with.
What if it doesn't look like them?
Before the portrait ships, you see photos of the finished piece from every angle and can ask for adjustments. Nothing ships until you approve it.
If the details you told us matter most still aren't right after we've adjusted the piece, we remake it from the beginning at our cost. If the remade portrait still isn't right, we refund you in full.
What if my photos aren't good enough?
We check your photos within 2 business days. If they aren't enough, we'll ask for more; if it still can't be made, you get a full refund.

Is shipping included?
Yes. Posted prices include shipping. Applicable taxes, if any, are calculated at checkout.
How do I care for it?
Display it indoors, away from direct sunlight and damp rooms. Dust it gently with a soft dry brush, following the direction the fur lies. Nothing wet, and nothing sprayed on it.
Keep it out of reach of pets and young children.
Who makes the portraits?
Each portrait is needle-felted by hand in our studio, matched to the animal. We hold every piece to the same standard: the details you name, the photos you choose, and the judgment of whether the face in the frame is the face you sent.
Can I give one as a gift?
Yes. A portrait is personal — the photos, the preview, the approving — so it works best when the person you're giving it to is part of it.
Want one for Christmas? Email hello@pawmoir.com before you order. A portrait takes about 2–4 months, so we'll tell you honestly whether it can be made in time. If it can't, we'll send you a printable card with their photo on it to give on the day, and the portrait follows once it's finished.
How does payment work?
When you commission a portrait, you pay half. The price on the page is the total, and shipping is included. We charge the other half to the same card after you've seen photos of the finished portrait and told us it's right, and we'll email you before we do. If you'd rather pay in full, reply to your order confirmation and we'll charge the rest right away.
Within 48 hours of ordering, you can cancel for a full refund of whatever you've paid. If we can't make a portrait from your photos, or a remake still isn't right, we refund everything you've paid.
